Gleeds Nottingham continues expansion with new appointments

Gleeds has announced the recent appointment of David Ford as Director of business development based in its Nottingham office.

David brings with him almost 30 years’ experience and joins the team from Willmott Dixon, where he was responsible for undertaking strategic market reviews and increasing business for the firm on a regional level. His new role will see him supporting the continued growth of Gleeds across the Midlands, utilising his extensive knowledge of the industry and relationships with key decision makers.

In addition to David’s appointment, Gleeds has further cemented its expansion through the promotions of both Andrew Marlow and Matt Perry to Directors of cost management.  Andrew first joined the company as a trainee quantity surveyor (QS) in 2001, while Matt began his career with Gleeds in 2003 as a senior QS.

Andrew’s new role focuses predominantly on the management of large-scale retail roll-out programmes. He is currently in charge of a team of surveyors handling the account for high profile client Marks & Spencer. Matt also specialises in the retail sector and is responsible for the management of complex programmes for clients which include Vodafone and the Central England Cooperative, as well as being tasked with developing the firm’s retail presence across the region.

Commenting on the recent appointments Jon Enever, Main Board Director for Gleeds in Nottingham, said; “I am delighted to be welcoming David to the team. His appointment signifies our intention to continue the pattern of growth we have seen in the Midlands in recent years and I am confident that he will prove to be a real asset as we go forward.”

He went on to add; “It is also a pleasure to see Andrew and Matt take up their positions as Directors having had such successful careers with Gleeds to date. They have been instrumental in developing our retail offering and we are extremely lucky to have such talent on the team here in Nottingham”.

Commenting on his new role, David Ford said. “Gleeds has built a strong presence in the Midlands and I am pleased to be joining the company at such an exciting time. My experience of the industry, the area and of relationship management will certainly stand me in good stead as I work to maximise opportunities and add to the firm’s impressive client roster.”
