Warsaw Spire

An inspiring landmark tower for Poland.

Gleeds was at the forefront of ensuring Project Monitoring services for Poland’s 2011 architectural design of the year. The Warsaw Spire was set to be one of Poland’s highest and most innovative office and retail complexes.

Ambitious plans

The Warsaw Spire, named after its 220m spiral tower, also includes two 55m side buildings and the first privately developed public square named Plac Europejski.

One of Poland’s most innovative developments, it overcame a number of challenges:

  • Busy, city centre location – next to one of the main arteries of the city
  • Large scale – over 104,000 m² including 5 underground parking levels
  • Close vicinity to existing buildings – which means using an advanced system of monitoring movement during construction

Expertise that delivers

We’re proud that we could be involved in creating one of Poland’s tallest buildings, as well as a public square that became a focal point in Warsaw’s new business district.
